Twenty area food establishments served taste tests of their menu at Taste of Trussville.
A record crowd attended the 10th annual Taste of Trussville on Sept. 27.
The taste-testing event was rebranded in honor of its anniversary with a new logo and name. The event, formerly Trussville’s Art Show and Tasting Event (TASTE), featured food samples from 20 area restaurants, bakeries and other food establishments, live entertainment and a cash bar. The event was sponsored by Amerex Corporation.
Other sponsors included the City of Trussville, Birmingham Coca-Cola, The Trussville Tribune, BancorpSouth, America’s First Credit Union, BB&T Wealth, Bryant Bank, Starnes Publishing, Trussville Gas & Water, Alabama Power Company, Stewart Facility Services and Tice & Associates.
Entertainment was provided by the Trussville Senior Dancers, who performed and encouraged audience participation by teaching a few dance steps.
A portion of the proceeds from the Taste of Trussville helps to fund scholarships for local students.
