Regions Bank, with branches at 193 Main St. and 429 Main St., was named a silver winner in the Learning Marketer of the Year competition at the 2024 Degreed Visionary Awards, given out by the Degreed enterprise learning experience platform. The Personnel Board of Jefferson County was recognized with the 2024 Training APEX Award, placing 19th overall among 105 training programs from across the country at the Training 2024 Conference & Expo in Orlando. The Training APEX Awards recognize organizations that provide exceptional employee training and development programs. The Personnel Board serves as a central administrative human resources and civil service agency for government agencies within Jefferson County. These government agencies, collectively referred to as The Merit System, include the Jefferson County Commission, the City of Trussville and 21 additional cities and agencies. This year’s Top 20 ranking highlights continuous improvement by the Personnel Board, as it has experienced a steady climb in the Apex Award rankings since its first award in 2016. 205-279-3500
Personnel Moves
Regions Bank, with branches at 193 Main St. and 429 Main St., has named John Jordan as the head of retail for its Consumer Banking Group. Jordan will lead an organization of more than 7,500 Regions Bank associates. He comes to Regions from Bank of America, where he spent more than 20 years in retail banking and wealth management. As head of retail for Regions Bank, Jordan reports directly to Kate Danella, head of consumer banking. 205-288-7560
