The Alabama Sports Writers Association released its weekly high school football poll Wednesday morning.
Hewitt-Trussville rose a spot to No. 5 in Class 7A. The Huskies blew out Pinson Valley 59-7 in a non-region game last week.
Clay-Chalkville remained at No. 2 in 6A after beating Thompson 14-13 in overtime.
This week, Hewitt-Trussville travels to Thompson and Clay-Chalkville hosts Mountain Brook, as both teams get back into critical region games.
