The Alabama Sports Writers Association released its weekly high school football poll Wednesday morning.
After the third week of games, Hewitt-Trussville rises to No. 5 in Class 7A. The Huskies rose one spot over last week after edging Vestavia Hills 18-14 in their region opener last Friday.
Clay-Chalkville holds the No. 3 ranking in 6A after shutting out Pell City 45-0.
This week, Hewitt-Trussville hosts Hoover in the Under the Lights Game of the Week. Clay-Chalkville hosts Shades Valley.
