Samantha and Jake Moyer moved to Trussville from North English, Iowa, in April, taking over the garage formerly owned by Darrell Wood at 7107 Gadsden Highway, Unit 102. With their shop now known as Moyer’s Garage, the Moyers pride themselves on offering “a dealership experience but with ‘mom and pop’ pricing.”
Samantha Moyer said she and her husband had more than 25 years of combined experience working at car dealerships before deciding to purchase their own garage.
“When we worked in a dealership for so long, you kind of learned the things not to do,” she said. “We took notes on that. We just do what we feel like we would do if it were grandma’s car.”
Moyer said they pride themselves on honesty and fairness to their customers.
“If you want fair pricing, fair customer service that’s what we’re here to do,” she said. “We’re not a big-name brand. We’re just doing the right thing.”
Overall, Moyer said, they are “just a goofy husband and wife couple that do what we have to do to make your vehicle work.”
Moyer Garage is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday until 3 p.m. For more information, go to moyersgarage.com.
