HEWITT-TRUSSVILLE

The Hewitt-Trussville High School basketball teams wasted no time in getting going in the new year, as they hosted Pell City on Tuesday night. The boys team put on a clinic and defeated Pell City, 68-28. Patrick Bishop knocked down a trifecta of 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 17 points. TJ Alexander scored 12 points and Damon Harper added 11 to join Bishop in double figures.

On Friday, the Huskies traveled to Huntsville and pulled off a sweep of their area opponent. The girls won convincingly, 72-34, behind solid performances all the way around.
