Several HTMS and HTHS choral students recently took part in the Alabama All-State Choir Festival on the campus of Samford University. The festival was attended by over 1,000 choral students from throughout the state. The students participated in two days of rehearsal sessions with notable guest conductors. The festival culminated with concert performances by all students.

Students were selected for All-State Choirs from a vocal audition held in November. Being selected to participate in these choirs is one of the highest honors a choral student can achieve in the state of Alabama. Trussville City Schools was well represented at this festival with 23 HTMS and HTHS students selected as members.

HTMS All-State Choir students included Jay Naylor, Victoria Landar, Evan Cargile, Madison Hutchens, Bailey Dodson, Coleton Jenkins, Michele Abebrese, Abby Cunningham and Ella Cobb.

HTHS All-State Choir students included Desi Gillespie, Brendon Hathaway, Kent Glover, Josh Rezek, Logan Cobb, Grace Jackson, Odi Ozuligbo, Kara Cargile, Abbie Self, Anna Cunningham, Austin Sandford, Gaines Myrick, Khalia Kennedy and Kalen Kennedy.
