Trussville City Schools Superintendent Pattie Neill has been named the School Superintendents Association District 5 Superintendent of the Year. Neill was nominated by her fellow metro area superintendents in District 5. Kathy Murphy, superintendent of Hoover City Schools and the current District 5 president, notified Dr. Neill of the honor Aug. 21.

“I am honored to receive this nomination from some of the greatest superintendents in the state of Alabama,” Neill said. “I would like to thank District 5 for this nomination. I also thank our faculty, staff, students and the community of Trussville who continue to encourage and support Trussville City Schools as we move to the next level of excellence.”

Neill will now compete for Alabama State Superintendent of the Year.
