TCS represented in state superintendent's arts exhibition

Twenty young artists in grades K-12, representing all five Trussville City Schools and all seven TCS art teachers, were featured in the State Superintendent’s Visual Art Exhibition. Their art was and will be on display in the Old Supreme Court Library of the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery.

Seniors Nick Boggess, Isabella Dailey and Elizabeth Self, junior Sam McMahon and sophomores Morgan Linley, Brett Marshall and Livia Tanner are from Hewitt-Trussville High School and students of Adam Sterrett and Layken Rubin. Eighth graders Emma Haynes and Amelia Wood and seventh grader Sophia Kibbey are students of Kristin Meriam at Hewitt-Trussville Middle School. Their work was displayed in the Secondary Exhibit (grades 7-12) from Feb. 4 to 25.

In the Elementary Exhibit (grades K-6) March 4-25: Sixth graders Peyton Brown and Phoenix Disko are also Meriam's students. Fifth grader Addison Grace Greenway, fourth grader Ella Mosely, second grader Katie Huetter and first grader Charlotte Johnson are Paine Elementary students of Courtney Holland and Angela Santiago. Fifth grader Asa Blakely and third grader Harper Ellis are Cahaba Elementary students of Jennifer Ellis. Third grader Hannah Gipson and kindergartener Zoey Lawson are Magnolia Elementary students of Callie Ward. All of their work will be displayed in the Elementary Exhibit (grades K-6) on March 4-25.
