In her annual Superintendent’s Evaluation presented by the Board of Education on Jan. 27, Pattie Neill received excellent reviews and an overall composite score of 98% across six critical areas of school district leadership.

Trussville City Schools Board of Education President Kathy Brown led the annual evaluation of Neill, who is in her 10th year of serving as superintendent.

The board evaluated Neill’s performance across the following six standards: general responsibilities, instructional leadership, personnel administration, financial management, chief executive officer and school/community relations.

“Dr. Neill’s evaluation results reflect her outstanding job performance as TCS superintendent,” Brown said. “Dr. Neill has continued to lead us through these challenging times while keeping our academic standards high, planning for current and future needs, and supporting and addressing the needs of our staff and students. Dr. Neill has surrounded herself with an excellent team that works with her to meet the district goals and achievements.”

Aside from noting school year challenges presented by COVID-19, the board also highlighted Neill’s leadership over capital projects such as the district’s first central office and the continued financial strength of Trussville City Schools as the district continues a brisk growth trajectory.
