Students succeed at projectile golf challenge

HTHS Students Chloe Haslem (team leader), Deja Huntley and Nic Lee recently took on the projectile golf challenge. The students had to determine the velocity of a projectile launcher based upon the height of the launcher and the horizontal distance it traveled. They were given three new heights and had to calculate where the projectile would land. The students then placed a pie pan at the distance they calculated. If the projectile landed in the center (within a cupcake liner) they scored a hole-in-one. If the projectile landed in the aluminum pie pan, they scored a par 3.

These were some tough calculations, but Chloe, Deja and Nic achieved three straight holes-in-one.
