Students selected to All State Band

Several HTHS students made it into the Alabama All State Band, including:

Emily Warren: Second chair flute, Red Band

Reagan Bonner: First chair baritone saxophone, Red Band

Brooke Bailey: Sixth chair clarinet, White Band

Patrick Bugaj: First chair alto saxophone, White Band

Ian Franzer: Fifth chair trombone, White Band

McKay Thunell: First chair trumpet, White Band

Jake French: Third chair bass clarinet, Blue Band

Jacob Green: Seventh chair trombone, Blue Band

Bailey and Warren also were selected as two of the eight finalists in the Alabama Bandmasters All-State Solo Competition held in Huntsville in April. Each finalist earned a $1,000 college scholarship.

The following HTMS students were chosen for the Alabama Middle School All State Band:

Noah Bender: First chair trumpet

Emma Coley: Second chair flute

Seth Hickman: First chair alto saxophone

Jones Preg: First chair clarinet

Ginny Waid: Sixth chair clarinet
