Students selected for district, state band honors

Five Hewitt-Trussville Middle School students were selected for the Middle School All-State Band recently, the most that HTMS has had in a single year. Those students are Noah Bender (trumpet), Emma Coley (flute), Seth Hickman (alto saxophone), Jones Preg (clarinet) and Ginny Waid (clarinet).

These five were also part of a larger class of 18 students selected for District IV Honor Band, placing them among the best band members in Jefferson and Shelby counties. Those students include Ben Bailey (trombone), Hudson Bates (baritone saxophone), Natalie Bentley (percussion), Kaylin Campbell (percussion), Ian Fantroy (alto saxophone) Luke Hansen (trombone), Lester Harbison (French horn), Ellie Mann (clarinet), Koen Pritchard (percussion), Ashley Rodgers (clarinet), Anne Stewart Rogers (clarinet), Lily Sauger (alto saxophone) and Pryce Sewell (clarinet).
