Magnolia Elementary students attend Kids in Engineering Day at UAB

Magnolia Elementary had a strong turnout at UAB's Kids in Engineering Day. Eleven fifth graders attended the event, including Tristan Atwood, Harmonie Johnson, Harmony Hawkins, Joey Ream, Kyndal Doss, Evan Virciglio, Noah Pearson, Tyler Land, Grant Hindman, Fallon Dement and Mackenzie Stewart.

The MES students were divided into groups and had to build rockets and then launch them to see which rocket went the furthest with the selected materials used. Tyler, Noah and Grant won the certificate for "Most Creative" rocket.
