HTMS students selected for All State Band and Honor Band
n January, several HTMS students auditioned for the Alabama Middle School All-State Band.
Four students were named to the All-State Band (recognizing the top middle school musicians in the entire state)

- Maddie Mann – 8th Grade Oboe
- Jones Preg – 7th Grade Clarinet
Three students named as alternate to the All-State Band
- Juliana Eberhardt – 8th Grade Clarinet
- Mary Reeves – 8th Grade Baritone
- Thomas Stacks – 8th Grade Trombone
Twenty-seven students were named to the District IV Honor Band (recognizing the top middle school musicians in the metro Birmingham area)
- Kylie Argo – 8th Grade Alto Saxophone
- Shea Boeker – 8th Grade Clarinet (2nd year chosen)

HTMS had the highest number of students chosen from schools in the metro Birmingham area. This is the second year in a row to achieve this.
This is a record number of students chosen from HTMS, breaking the record of 23 chosen in 2014.
