Hewitt-Trussville Middle School would like to recognize students who qualified for state recognition as part of the Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP). These students have earned an award by scoring approximately at or above the national average of recent high school graduates on at least one part of the ACT or the SAT.

They have been invited to a special recognition ceremony at the University of Alabama.

State Recognition: Courtney Crowe, Liam Eubanks, Camilia Garrett, Molly Kate Green, Stephen Grigsby, Darcy Hall, Seth Hickman, Parker Hull, Sophia Li, June Mobley, Olivia Nafziger, Halle Brooke Parsons, Jones Preg, Koen Pritchard, Kendall Reeves, Reagan Roberts, Ashley Rodgers, Rubie Simon, Gavin Snyder, Rex Usry and Mallory Whitt.

In addition to state recognition, Molly Kate Green and Jones Preg both received honors at the national level, earning them a medal for Grand Recognition.

Students who qualify for Grand Recognition scored approximately at or better than 90 percent of recent high school graduates on at least one part of the ACT or the SAT. These students are invited to a special recognition ceremony at Duke University.

Only about 4 percent of all the participants in the talent search qualify for grand recognition.
