HTHS vocalists meet with state Superintendent

These talented young vocalists practice and perform throughout the school year under the direction of Allen Gillespie, Director of HTHS Choirs. Gillespie says that Alabama State Department of Education State Superintendent Dr. Eric Mackey mentioned that he would like a photo with the student’s signatures, so HTHS returned to Montgomery to make the delivery. According to Gillespie, Dr. Mackey indicated that the Chamber Choir continues to be talked about in the Gordon Persons Building (home of ALSDE). Choir members include Elizabeth Morris, Kaitlyn Hardy, Kelsey Dudley, Breanna Johnson, Jessica Walters, Ella Cobb, Devon Amick, Katie Harris, Stella Shipman, Hattie Donovan, Lily Sauger, and Ginny Waid.
