HTHS student Cameron Gallups at Alabama Girls State

Rising senior Cameron Gallups represented Hewitt Trussville High School at the 76th Session of Alabama Girls State, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. Girls State is a premier youth leadership program comprised of the best and brightest young women in the State of Alabama.

The program epitomizes the American Legion Auxiliary’s mission to honor those who have brought freedom through the Auxiliary’s enduring commitment to develop young women as future leaders, grounded in patriotism and Americanism. The young women become knowledgeable of the democratic process and how the republic form of government works at the state and national levels.
