HTHS senior named National Merit Finalist

HTHS senior Margaret McBride has been named a National Merit Finalist. To qualify, students must take the preliminary SAT (PSAT). With a high enough score, some students are then invited to apply for Finalist status, which requires an application, high school transcript and the SAT. 

About 15,000 students across the U.S. with high enough test scores are chosen as finalists, which gives them the opportunity to compete for scholarships.
