HTHS boys place 3rd at state track tournament

The boys track and field team placed third at the recent state championship. The team came home with three gold medals and one bronze, as well as three state champions.

Benji Knox set a new state record of 9:27 in the 3200-meter run, and Noah Igbinoghene set a record of 23’6” in the long jump and 48’1” in the triple jump.

Overall, the HTHS team had 24 All-State athletes and 23 new personal records were set at the championships.
