Former Trussville City Schools Board of Education member Bill Roberts was recently awarded the Alabama Association of School Boards AllState Board Member Award.

The award was presented to Roberts at the association’s winter conference.

The All-State Award commends school board members who exhibit exemplary traits in their role. Roberts served as a school board member from 2009-19 and served as board president from 2010 -16.

“Mr. Roberts faithfully served this school district in an official capacity for 10 years and he continues to serve his community in church and civic volunteerism,” Trussville City Schools Superintendent Pattie Neill said. “Bill was an exemplary board member who modeled strong ethics, integrity, faith and honesty for all those who will follow in his footsteps.”
