Cahaba teacher receives art grant

Cahaba Elementary art teacher Jenni Scott received a $5,000 grant for the “Calling All Senses” sensory garden project from Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation (LCEF).

Students will be able to explore the five senses with multiple experiences using various resources and indigenous Alabama plants.

Scott has been working on the grant for three years and has also applied for a $25,000 grant to supply musical instruments for the outdoor garden area.
