Cahaba kindergarteners hold fairy tale ball

Kindergarten students at Cahaba Elementary School recently concluded their unit on fairy tales. Students shared with their parents using the projects they created during the fairy tale unit and the portraits created during a collaborative project with the art teacher.

Students also learned about the food groups with an integrated lesson on Rapunzel and the weather: what would happen if the prince were to try to climb Rapunzel's hair on a windy, rainy, or snowy day? Students collaborated with the system's dietitian, Melissa Donaldson, as they learned about food groups.
