Cahaba Elementary hosts Veterans Day program

Trussville City Schools hosted a Veterans Day program at Cahaba Elementary on Nov. 8 in honor of local veterans. The event, hosted by Principal Joy Tyner and attended by Superintendent Pattie Neill, featured patriotic songs performed by each grade level. Tina Fortenberry directed the school’s show choir, SHINE, through two songs as well. There were also three essays read aloud during the program, by the children who won the contest at their respective grade levels (kindergarten and first grade; second and third grade; and fourth and fifth grade).
