Trussville youths compete in golf championship

Several Trussville teens participated in the Birmingham Golf Association Junior Championship in July and brought home honors.

Fifteen-year-old Stuart Dickson won the championship, open to ages 14-18, and was awarded the Elbert S. Jemison trophy. Ethan Hacker, another Trussville resident, won the 16-18 age group. Clayton Healy and Gavin Isbell also competed at the championship in the 12-13 age group.

There were 96 total participants who qualified for the two-day championship, played at Old Overton Club, through BGA tour events.
