Trussville Rotary Golf Tournament results announced

The Trussville Daybreak and Trussville Noon Rotary Clubs held their 26th annual charity golf tournament on Oct. 1 at Highland Park Golf Course. It was a success raising money for scholarships for area students and other local projects.

Major sponsors were Alabama Power Company, Bryant Bank, Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens, Premier Payroll and Trimm Design Build. Tournament directors were Frank Jett and Randy Jinks from the Daybreak Club and Bill Huber from the Noon Club.

The first place team was the Harry Smith team and included Harry Smith, Bubba Lewis, Darrell Trucks and Gary Little.

The second place team from First Baptist Church Trussville consisted of Alan Taylor, Bob Smith, Jamie O’Dell and Stan Forehand. The third place team members from Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens were Van Horne, Ken Vaughan, Steve Swartz and Marvin Fritz.
