At the June 12 Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club meeting, Rotarian Jay Grogan invited Mike White to speak to the group.

Mike, Jay and visitor Mark Nix all played football for the legendary Coach Bear Bryant at the University of Alabama. Mike is also known as Lt. Commander Mike White, who served as a Navy SEAL for over 11 years.

Following his years of military service, Mike served as a bodyguard for Bruce Springsteen and Bill and Melinda Gates, and he shared several interesting experiences with club members. In addition, Mike also acted in several films with Hulk Hogan and taught Hogan’s team to scuba dive.

Mike is now the general manager of the Riverchase Galleria.

The Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club meets for breakfast on the second, third and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7 a.m. at First Baptist Church Trussville. For more information on the Club and its projects, find them on Facebook at “Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club” or email dianepoole1225@centurytel.net.
