Customer service award presented at chamber luncheon

by

Trussville Chamber of Commerce.

The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce recognized its June Customer Service Award recipient, Norah Hernandez, at its most recent monthly luncheon. About 90 people attended the luncheon, which was sponsored by ServPro of Birmingham and held at the Trussville Civic Center.

The nominator had this to say: “I recently visited the Home Depot in Trussville with my four-year-old son. I knew exactly what I was looking for but did not know where to find it. I asked a fellow customer and then a Home Depot employee, but neither knew where the item was located. Norah Moses Hernandez, a Home Depot employee, overheard me asking a third person for the location of the item and she immediately grabbed my attention. She walked me straight to the item, at least four aisles away, with a big smile on her face. She was so pleasant and seemed to genuinely want to help. She even found someone to help me load up the amount I needed. I was surprised to learn that she was on her way to take her break when she stopped to help me. I guess she couldn’t help but to take a moment to provide great customer service!”
