Chamber’s Customer Service Award recipient named

The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce recognized its July Customer Service Award recipient, Craig Colvin, at its monthly luncheon on July 19 at the Trussville Civic Center.

The nominator had this to say: “I recently visited the Sherwin Williams Paint Store on Main Street in Trussville. I was sent by my wife, along with my 2- and 4-year-old, with a ‘simple’ task on the ‘Honey Do’ list. Nothing is ever simple with a 2- and 4-year-old in-tow. The only information I had was the paint color name from another company. Craig spent 10 to 15 minutes looking through my order history and researching the paint color. The whole time my children were acting like wild animals through the store. As embarrassed as I was, Craig never made a face, a comment or any gesture to add to my embarrassment. In fact, he smiled the whole time and even gave my kids pens and paper to color with while we looked for the paint color. We finally found the paint color, and it was a perfect match.”
