Area senior awarded chamber scholarship

A Hewitt-Trussville High School senior is the recipient of a scholarship from the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC). The announcement was made at Awards Day held at Hewitt-Trussville High School in April.

The scholarship was presented to Abigail Inman. Abigail plans to study nursing at Auburn University this fall and hopes to become a nurse anesthetist.

Each year, the chamber presents scholarships to deserving high school seniors. Abigail was awarded a $1,000 scholarship renewable for up to four years if she maintains a ‘B’ or better average. She was selected based on, among other things, academic achievement and community service. More than $40,000 in scholarships has been awarded by the chamber in the past ten years.
