Anne Stewart Rogers Named Distinguished Young Woman of Jefferson County 2023

On July 23, 2022, Anne Stewart Rogers, a senior at Hewitt-Trussville High School, was named as the Distinguished Young Woman of Jefferson County 2023 during the program held at John Carroll Catholic High School. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Becky Rogers of Trussville.

In addition to being named Distinguished Young Woman of Jefferson County, she was selected a Preliminary Talent Winner and the Overall Winner in the categories of Scholastics, Interview and Self Expression.

On January 20-21, 2023, Rogers will advance to the Distinguished Young Women of Alabama Program in Montgomery where she will compete for over $30,000 in cash-tuition scholarships.

First Alternate was Sarah Jane Richardson (Vestavia Hills High School) and Ella Grace Young (Hewitt-Trussville) was named Second Alternate. Other Top Finalists included Mary Virginia Miller (Briarwood Christian School) and Olivia Kelley (Hoover High School). A total of $18,300 in cash-tuition scholarships was awarded in this year’s program.

Overall category winners included Overall Fitness and Talent winner Sarah Jane Richardson (Vestavia Hills High School), Overall Scholastics and Self Expression winner Anne Stewart Rogers (Hewitt-Trussville) and the Overall Spirit winner Leo Godwin (Mountain Brook High School).
