Movies on the Mall, hosted by Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce, will continue its second summer program with “Incredibles 2” on July 12.

The season started with “Ralph Wrecks the Internet" on June 14.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive at the event shortly before dusk. Movies begin playing just after dusk, around 8 p.m., once it is determined to be dark enough to see the movie playing.

“The daytime summer heat in Alabama can keep people indoors. These movies provide a way for the community to come together after the sun goes down and the temperature drops a bit,” said Melissa Walker, event coordinator for the chamber.

Because the need for darkness necessitates a later start time, Walker anticipates limited concession vendors offering meal items. However, Frios pops is currently slated to be at both movie nights selling desserts.

“Ralph Wrecks the Internet" on June 14 was sponsored by Trussville Gas & Water, Blalock Building Company, Marco’s Pizza and Miss Kelly’s School of Dance. Trussville Gas & Water is also sponsoring “Incredibles 2” on July 12, along with State Farm Insurance Agent Nicki Kearley and Hampton Inn/Hilton Garden Inn.
