HTHS and HTMS cheerleaders attend summer camp

The Hewitt-Trussville High School and Middle School cheer squads recently attended summer cheer camp. Both HTHS teams received all superior ribbons each day of camp, the Varsity and JV teams won first in cheer, Varsity won first in extreme, JV won second in extreme and JV won overall for their division.

There were 11 high school girls chosen as All American Cheerleaders, six senior cheerleaders were asked to tryout for staff, two girls were pinned by camp instructors as showing the most leadership at camp and a varsity cheerleader won the Jump Off out of about 50 strong jumpers.

The middle school squad won second place in sideline cheer, and six girls were chosen as All Americans.
