Trussville Southside Baptist Church will host its fourth annual craft fair this month.

Heavenly Handmade Treasures will take place Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church.

Stephanie Moore, who has been in charge every year, said the event started as a fundraiser for several church activities, including a summer camp and mission trip.

“It was a huge success our first year, and we got a lot of positive feedback, not just from vendors, but also the community and people who came,” Moore said. “It has grown from there and gotten bigger every year.”

The church provides the space for vendors to sell their merchandise. Admission is free, and food will be available for purchase.

“One thing we offer is when vendors arrive that morning to set up, our youth teens unload their cars for them to bring everything to their spot. That’s helpful and keeps it organized. We try to be efficient and organized,” Moore said.

Last year, the craft fair had about 35 vendors and Moore said they will have the same this year. Items will include crafts, art, Christmas decor, jewelry, gifts, monogram and appliqué items, picture frames and more.

Between the craft fair and a spring yard sale, Moore said the church has always been able to raise the money needed to assist in events. She said they are contemplating doing a spring fair because they have seen so much success with one in the fall.

Trussville Southside Baptist church is located at 6644 Roper Road, Trussville.

Information for the event will be available on the church website at tsbc.net.
