by

TRUSSVILLE – A Trussville-based region of F3 will officially launch Saturday, Oct. 23.

F3 is a free peer-led workout program for men including bootcamp workouts, run groups and rucks. The three Fs stand for fitness, fellowship and faith. The Trussville region will be called F3 Beast, which stands for Birmingham East.

The launch, called Convergence, will be from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. at Cahaba Elementary School in Trussville. After the launch, there will be daily workouts – sans Sunday – across Trussville. Each location has a F3-specific name. Cahaba Elementary has three, called “Slagheap,” “Iditarod” and “Mush Ruck.” Paine Elementary School is “House of Paine,” Magnolia Elementary School is “The School Yard” and Clay-Chalkville High School is “Golem.”

Started in 2011 in Charlotte, N.C., F3 has grown to more than 30 states and 2,000-plus scheduled workouts a week.
