Over 160 people showed up in early December to attend the first service of Crosshaven, a ministry of Clearbranch United Methodist Church, in its new location at Pinson Valley High School.

This service is meant for those wanting a different kind of worship with a deconstructed feel. Clearbranch Associate Pastor Jeremy Auvil’s message began a sermon series called “The Christmas Present.”

The Crosshaven ministry has been meeting in Auvil’s home for the past year and has grown. Clearbranch’s existing relationship with Pinson Valley High School allowed for a move into their auditorium each Sunday evening at 5 p.m.

Clearbranch’s relationship with Pinson Valley has included providing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the football team, daily drop-offs and relational ministry.

For more information on Crosshaven, call the Clearbranch office at 655-9414. You can also find them on Facebook at facebook.com/CrosshavenTrussville.
