Women in Business: Judith Jones - Peachtree Senior Living

If Judith Jones could help every resident of Peachtree Senior Living know one thing, it would be this: that he or she is treasured.

“I want my residents to feel safe and cared for,” said Jones, who serves as Peachtree’s executive director. “So many of our seniors are left to just exist at a time when they should be honored. It is my goal that each resident at Peachtree Senior Living, be it assisted or independent living, knows that they are valued and they still have so much to offer.”

She wants them to wake up each day excited about being in a wonderful place where they have a purpose and feel celebrated.

That’s her favorite part of her job — the people.

“They allow us to come into their home and not just serve or meet a need, but they teach us by sharing their lives with us,” Jones said. “They are our surrogate parents, grandparents, teachers and sometime confidantes. They have lived some amazing lives and are willing to share it all with us every day.”

Jones joined the staff of Peachtree Senior Living in March, but she has been working in long-term care for more than 15 years. She said she’s been “enjoying every minute” that she’s been at Peachtree.

It’s a great new chapter in her senior care journey.

“I started in marketing and discovered that I have a passion for being an advocate for our senior population,” she said. 

Long-term care can be confusing if you don’t know how to maneuver the many processes and paperwork, but Jones said she loves helping people navigate through those things. She’s done marketing from hospice and home health to skilled nursing and geriatric psychiatry — even hospital marketing.

“I am licensed to manage both assisted living and skilled nursing communities,” Jones said. “I truly enjoy working with and for seniors and their families by helping them to find the best place for them to live out their best life.”
