The city of Trussville will be the site of a new Metro Diner restaurant in 2019, the company’s third location in the Birmingham metro area.

While a specific address has not been announced, the Trussville Metro Diner is expected to open its doors in the first or second quarter of next year, according to a company representative.

Based out of Jacksonville, Florida, Metro Diner has restaurants in 11 states including five in Alabama: Inverness, Vestavia Hills, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville and Madison.

According to a Metro Diner representative, the eatery was established in 1992 by the Davoli family with a single location in Jacksonville and is among the nation’s fastest growing casual dining concepts.

Metro Diner is known for its warm, welcoming service, large portion sizes and serious diner food.

With most dishes priced below the $15 mark, the eatery offers value during its all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner, a representative said.

Metro Diner’s made-from-scratch menu features quality ingredients and signature dishes including fried chicken and waffles, Charleston shrimp and grits and its famous meatloaf plate, a representative said.
