Luncheon, annual banquet and auction scheduled for mid-month

The second full week of February will be a busy one for Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce members with the monthly luncheon set for Thursday, Feb. 15, and the annual Banquet and Auction scheduled for 6 p.m on Saturday, Feb. 17. Both events will be at the Trussville Civic Center.

The annual banquet will include a live and silent auction. During the banquet, the chamber will honor its Ambassador of the Year, Customer Service Person of the Year and recipients of the Ned and Goldie Paine Memorial Gatekeeper Awards for outstanding service to the community. The 2018 Chamber board and officers will also be inducted at the banquet.  

Officer inductions include: Jeremy Tuggle of Bryant Bank, president; Vic Modic of Amerex Corporation, president-elect; Johnny Amari of Amari Law Firm, past president; and Shea Carroll Waldrop of Massey Stotser & Nichols PC, treasurer. The 2018 board members are: Jay Mather of Enviro Management Corp.; Debra McCarley of DeDe’s Book Rack; Lynn Middleton of Avadian Credit Union; Kevin Sargent of Brik Realty; Mike Strength of Trussville Gas & Water; Kenny Jno-Finn of EW Motion Therapy; and Ian Maddox of Hitchcock Maddox Financial Partners.

The deadline to register for the banquet is Feb. 9. Admission is $50 per person or $90 per couple. Tables can be reserved for $500. Cost for the monthly luncheon is $17.

Online luncheon registration is closed at midnight Monday, Feb. 12, but the chamber office will accept registration by phone until noon Tuesday, Feb. 13. 

All non-members must pay in advance.

The speaker for the February luncheon was unknown at the Cahaba Sun’s press time. Trussville Civic Center is located at 5381 Trussville-Clay Road.
