by

The final Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon of the year will be Thursday, Dec. 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Trussville Civic Center.

Ted Clem, director of business development at the Alabama Department of Commerce, will be the featured speaker at the luncheon, which is sponsored by Cadence Bank.

Clem, who has worked as an economic developer in three Southeastern states, was named to his post in March 2015.

Under his leadership, the business development division helps recruit companies to Alabama who are looking for locations to expand with a regional project. Prior to joining the Department of Commerce as a senior project manager in 2014, Clem worked in economic development at a county level in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

Cost for the luncheon is $17. A processing fee is added if paid by credit or debit card. Registration is available online at trussvillechamber.com through noon on Tuesday, Dec. 18 or reservations can be made by emailing June Matthews at june.mathews@trussvillechamber.com.

The address for the Trussville Civic Center is 5381 Trussville-Clay Road.
