Axe Downtown is now open at 211 Main St. According to its website, its “highly trained staff is there to make sure you safely have fun and an axe-citing experience! With 10 lanes that hold up to four people each, we can help you throw an axe-throwing party of any size.” 205-537-1029  


Coming Soon

SteeleHall Brewing Co. is planned to open soon in the former Slag Heap Brewing Co. location at 227 Main St. Co-founders Eric Mitchell and Scott Worthington grew up in the Trussville area and are returning to their hometown from North Carolina to open SteeleHall, hopefully by football season, according to the Trussville Tribune.

The owner of Kemp's Kitchen has acquired the Trussville location of Ironstone Pizza, 5445 Patrick Way, with plans to reopen the restaurant that closed in 2019. As of press time, the restaurant was set to open June 20. 205-410-9064

Starbucks plans to open another Trussville location, in addition to the one proposed in January on U.S. 11. This one, approved in May, will be at the former BBVA Compass Bank location, 5990 Chalkville Mountain Road, at the corner of Chalkville Mountain and Service roads. As of press time, there was no planned opening date.
