Pet Supplies Plus, a national retail chain that offers services and products to pet owners, has opened a new location in Trussville at 1672 Gadsden Highway. Pet Supplies Plus Trussville is open seven days a week. 205-582-1488


Coming Soon

Corbeau Wine Bar, 101 Beech St., is coming soon to the Trussville Entertainment District. Corbeau plans to have more than 45 different wines on tap. It is expected to open this fall, but no official opening date has been set.


New Ownership

Universal Limited Inc., 7541 Commerce Circle, was acquired by Lexicon Inc. in July, according to The Trussville Tribune. “Between our mutual histories as long-standing family-owned businesses and our shared vision to define excellence, we knew Universal would be the perfect addition to the Lexicon family,” said Patrick Schueck, Lexicon’s president and CEO. “As part of our intentional growth strategy, this acquisition allows us to strategically expand our service offerings and reach new customers across the country.” Universal initially provided insulation services to the pulp and paper industry. Under CEO Rick Howell’s leadership, Universal broadened its market presence to include the steel, cement, chemical processing, and power industries while expanding its service offerings to include insulation maintenance, roofing/siding, and painting. 205-836-6053
