The weekly Alabama Sports Writers Association high school football poll was released Wednesday morning.
Hewitt-Trussville and Clay-Chalkville are off to unbeaten starts to the season. Clay-Chalkville ascends to the top spot in 6A this week, following a blowout win over Brandon (Miss.). Hewitt-Trussville still sits at No. 3 in 7A following an impressive 24-0 shutout win over Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa.
