The Alabama Sports Writers Association released its weekly high school football poll Wednesday morning.
Hewitt-Trussville fell a couple spots this week to No. 7 in Class 7A. The Huskies suffered a tough 8-7 loss against Hoover last Friday night.
Clay-Chalkville holds the No. 3 ranking in 6A after shutting out Shades Valley 42-0. It was the second consecutive shutout win for the Cougars.
This week, Hewitt-Trussville hosts Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa in another region contest, while Clay-Chalkville takes an open week.
