Phyllis Faust is the principal of Magnolia Elementary School.
Q: What inspired you to work in education?
A: Almost 30 years ago, when my son Justin was in kindergarten, I wanted to enjoy the ride with him.
Q: What’s something great about your school?
A: The children and the relationships. Magnolia is like a family. I know people say that often, but if you ask our parents, teachers or students, they will tell you the same thing.
Q: What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
A: Loving on these children and watching them grow. Every day, I get and give countless hugs. These kids need to know they are cared for, loved and appreciated.
