Cahaba Elementary School students Macy Herring and Catherine Feivet had their artwork selected for the 2019 State Superintendent's Art Show. Their pieces were on display during the month of February at the Capitol building in Montgomery.
A group of Paine Elementary students also had their artistic talents honored as part of the 2019 Helen Keller Art Show of Alabama. Henrietta Murray, Ava Claire Brakefield, Owen Hemrick, Sarah Thomas and Hailey Leslies were among the students selected for the art tour, which started Jan. 27 with a reception at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.
