Trussville City Schools’ Bus Drivers of the Year were recognized in January.
Based on parent and student nominations for exemplary service, Carl Palmore of Magnolia Elementary was named the Elementary Driver of the Year and John Huie from Hewitt-Trussville Middle School was named the Secondary Driver of the Year.
The pair were recognized at the school board’s January meeting and attended the statewide Love the Bus Competition in February to compete for the Love the Bus Alabama Bus Driver of the Year award, given by Transportation South/Thomas Bus.
