Q: Tell our readers about yourself.
A: I consider myself to be an outgoing, friendly and compassionate person who strives to be a leader throughout my community! I have cheered on the Huskies (through youth sports and high school) for 13 years, and I have lived here my entire life. I love my family, the color pink, and I have visited New Zealand and held a koala in Australia! I am a passionate learner who is dedicated to school, church, cheer and family.
Q: What is your favorite thing about attending HTHS and why?
A: My favorite thing about attending HTHS is the uplifting atmosphere and the amazing memories it has given me. From meeting my best friends to cheering my heart out at pep rallies and Friday nights, from growing strong connections with teachers who truly care about me and having fun in class, Hewitt has given me some of the most fun memories that I will cherish forever!
Q: What extracurricular activities are you involved in at school? What activities do you take part in outside of school?
A: I am involved in so many amazing programs at school! I am currently a varsity head cheer captain, and I am a main base for our football squad and our competition squad. I am also vice president of National Honor Society and a capstone member of Leadership HT. Through Leadership HT I am in the process of completing my city improvement project, which is to achieve the passing of an ordinance allowing murals in Trussville and having one painted on a local building that celebrates Trussville’s rich history and promising future.
I am also a leader on the Leadership Team, which helps to develop character through volunteer and student involvement; a member of Focus Club, Peer Partners, Mu Alpha Theta and Senior Board.
Outside of school, I work as a front desk associate at the workout studio True40, and I also work as a lifeguard in the summer! I am a part of the Youth Leadership Development Program of Birmingham, a program built on faith, patriotism and character. Furthermore, I am a senior intern at First Baptist of Trussville, and I love spending time at my church! I also enjoy volunteering around our community in a multitude of different ways.
Q: How many AP classes will you have taken by the end of your senior year? I also know you have an ACT superscore of 30 currently, which is amazing! How do you balance your academics and other activities?
A: I will have taken 10 AP classes by the end of this year at HTHS. Balancing academics and a multitude of activities can oftentimes be overwhelming and stressful, but it's important to stay grounded! I first start off by praying over anything that is causing me anxiety or stress, and reading through Scripture can often give me a sound mind. After that, I normally turn to my amazing mom who gets to hear my every thought! She helps me work through anything I am struggling with, and I know I can always lean on her! In a practical sense, I love using a planner and calendar to keep all of my dates and activities organized.
Q: What is your favorite subject?
A: My absolute favorite subject is history, followed very closely by English!
Q: Where do you plan to attend college in the fall of 2026, and why? What do you plan to major in?
A: Most likely Auburn. I plan to major in political science with a minor in business on a pre-law track.
Q: What do you think is the best part of Trussville schools and why?
A: The absolute best part of Trussville City Schools is the community it provides. From kindergarten until now, I have never felt a place that has made me feel more loved. I know not many adolescents would say this, but I truly love school because of the people and atmosphere it has provided me with.
Q: Who is your role model and why?
A: My role model is absolutely my mom. She is a pillar of strength, grace and love in my life and is truly my best friend. She has taught me everything I know and has always done anything she can to make me so happy, and her hard work and perseverance has taught me how to be a leader.
