The foundation, created in memory of Troy Justice Ellis, supports youth athletics by improving facilities, providing equipment, and reducing costs for families.
The Troy Ellis Foundation's rec baseball tournament that was scheduled to take place at the Trussville Sports Complex this weekend has been rescheduled due to the threat of severe weather this weekend. The tournament will now take place on April 25-27.
The Troy Ellis Foundation is a local organization created in the memory of Troy Justice Ellis, who died at age 11 in a hunting accident. The foundation works to memorialize Ellis, who loved baseball, by raising money to improve local athletic facilities and programs and lower costs of participation in athletic programs.
In May, the foundation will also host a fundraising tournament for travel baseball teams.
