The annual Totally Christmas shopping and craft fair will be Nov. 22-23 at the Trussville Civic Center. Proceeds from the event go into the city’s Parks and Recreation general fund to support facilities, maintenance and programming for the year ahead.
“We had over 90 vendors last year, and we’re hoping to even surpass that this year,” event coordinator Josh Taylor said. “We’ve got quite a few new vendors this year, which we’re excited about. We have more people offering the popular trends with vinyl and photography. We even have a kid who builds custom Lego sets.”
To ensure the quality of the event, vendors are required to submit photos of their merchandise, as well as a price range before they can be granted space for a booth. Taylor also limits the number of vendors representing home-based franchises.
“Most of our vendors have been with us for five or six years or more and come from all over the Southeast. There is an embroidery booth that people love and the homemade dips that everyone flocks to every year,” Taylor said.
Entertainment throughout the weekend will include performances from local students and musicians. Santa Claus will be in attendance on Saturday and available for photographs that are available for purchase. In addition to pastries, cupcakes and cookies from various vendors, food trucks are also being added to the lineup.
“It’s just a lot of fun. It’s always great to see everyone having fun and enjoying themselves,” Taylor said.
Hours for the event are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For more information and event updates, follow Trussville Civic Center on Facebook, email totallychristmastcc@gmail.com or call 205-655-9486.
